This roller was one of the last to be purchased new by Eddisons and spent most of its working life in the construction of airfields in the south of England. It was also involved in work at General Eisenhower's HQ, and 'D' Day landing areas. Its last last job was in the South of England during 1944 to 1948 in the construction at Heathrow Airport (London).
